Beginner’s Healing Circle Class Maybe you are in the care-giver role and have difficulty asking for and accepting “care” from others or you are simply searching for what to do when you want to help but don’t know how to help. In this class participants are given the opportunity to explore energy, self awareness, and healing. They will learn simple energy healing techniques as well as experience the benefits of those techniques on others and themselves. The class also includes some lectures with hand outs, experiential exercises, and question and answer time. It is not a therapy group. Elisabeth is available to teach groups of six to ten participants. Classes are two hours long and take place once a week on six consecutive weeks. The cost is $60./participant. Sliding scale is available.
Making Quality Time With Individuals who Have Dementia We will look at what characterizes quality time and through creative play, how to bring that into our relationships with friends or family members who are in various stages of dementia. We will also touch upon the relationship between our grief over the loss we witness and our ability to engage with what we recognize as vital in the other. By the end of this class, participants may have more hope and confidence in their ability to relate with greater depth and meaning to someone with dementia. Class will be primarily experiential and discussion with some handouts. Elisabeth is available to teach groups of six to ten individuals. Classes are two hours long and take place once a week on three consecutive weeks. The cost is contingent on the number of students and the location of the class.
Five Elements Chi Gong Five Elements Chi Gong, a slow movement meditation, is a way to increase vitality, support physical, mental, and emotional health and develop the capacity to remain calm during difficult times. In this class, participants will explore various universal images and discover their own personal relationship with these images through discussion, visual props, and ultimately through movement. Five elements is not strenuous and is easy to learn. The movements may be modified for those with limited mobility. Elisabeth is available to teach groups of six to ten participants. Classes are one and a half hours long and take place once a week on six consecutive weeks. The cost is contingent on the number of students and the location of the class. Elisabeth has played Tai Chi and Chi Gong for over thirty years and taught fifteen years for the Cincinnati Recreation Dept.
Health Fairs and Community Events Elisabeth is available, free of charge, to participate in health fairs and community events. She will provide brief hand, feet, or shoulder massages as well as brochures and business cards.
Retreats Elisabeth is available to provide sessions (minimum of four/day) for retreat groups. She is also available to teach a two hour introduction to energy work for groups of four to eight individuals. Fee is negotiable.
